Read the article Earth Renewal for the history and significance of this ceremony

+ Dance, Sing, Drum
The Earth Renewal Dance is participatory. Thorough instructions and practice are given on the Dance and the Song so you will be able to participate with ease. The Dance Drum is available for those who are experienced in ceremonil drumming.
+ Grandmothers/Maidens/Moon-Women Dance Circle
The Circle around the Dance Grounds is the pathway of the Moon. Dancing the Moon Circle is reserved as a place of honor for our Grandmothers, the young maidens and Women in their Moon cycle.
+ Give-Away Ceremony
A Give-Away is commenced following the Dance itself. A Woman is chosen to embody the Spirit of the Earth Mother. Each participant offers her a gift – something of personal significance and value that they have brought with them. When each person has gifted, the Earth Mother gives to each person a gift, usually one different than the one they brought. Unlike the Western World's placing importance upon 'how valuable was the gift I got', in this ceremony the more valuable and significance-laden the gift given, the greater the Honor to the Earth.
+ Pot-Luck Feast
A Pot-Luck Feast follows. This will take place at my home in Uptown, about noon. As this part of the event is a sharing of health and bounty with the members of the community, it is preferred that your dish be a home-prepared food item, made with love and attention. Bring what you are inspired to make. Make a dish appropriate to your own eating style: vegetarian, meat, dessert... all dishes are welcomed.
+ No Fee
This ceremony is my Give-Away to the Community. You are a member of the Community if you are reading this, whether you are Sedona-local or have traveled far to attend. If you should be so moved as to make a cash contribution, there will be a basket available at the Feast.
