Ceremomy of the Elements:

Fire – Water – Earth – Air

Remote Participation

I will work these 4 ceremonies on your behalf

August 14 - 18, 2011

Forgiveness. Cleansing. Honor. Blessing. These are the elements that comprise our healing. During the time of this Shamanic Wilderness Camp we will, in a very focused manner, engage each of these facets of the renewal of our lives.

FIRE: Forgiveness - Sun

I will be building a Fire. Into that Fire we will place pinches of tobacco, calling out to the Ancestors to forgive our transgressions. A recounting of transgressions will follow. These will be the common transgressions such as being disrespectful, selfish, bad tempered, mean, etc. There will be your own specific transgressions that you acknowledge as well.

WATER: Cleansing - Moon

Upon a rock in the middle of a river we will each stand, facing upstream, calling upon the Spirits of the Waters to wash through you, carrying away any sadness, guilt, shame, fear, anger, rage etc. When this is complete we will make our way back to the shore and walk away, never looking downstream, so as to not draw the washed-aways back into ourselves.

EARTH: Honoring - Earth

Sitting upon the Earth we will call upon Her for Her embrace. We will cry in the arms of Her love, surrendering into Her embrace.Then we will re-dedicate ourselves to Her, acknowledging that we are alive only because of Her.

AIR: Blessing - The-All-That-Is

Upon a high place we will climb, there to call upon Eagle.  We'll make prayers for Eagle, sending him gifts of power. As I drum we will sing the Eagle Calling Song and await the Eagle to fly overhead. Then we will then ask him to carry these blessings for our own well-being to the Heart of Creation:

•    Health - physically, mentally, emotionally and of the Soul.

•    Love - for all Life and Creation; Family; Romantic; Self; Divine Light

•    Prosperity - Spiritual awakening and material stability

•    A Good Life - filled with laughter, friends and appreciation of Life

•    A Long Life

•    A Life lived in Balance

•    A Life lived in Harmony with all of Creation.

Day 1 - Fire Ceremony.

Convening the Circle. Your personal participation will be acknowledged to the joined members of our group. The very first evening I will perform the Fire Ceremony on your behalf.

Day 2 - Water Ceremomy.

Instructions will be provided teaching you how to begin the day with a Morning Water Blessing (the very first thing my Gramp Peña taught me!) so that you can particpate each and every day with the ceremony being done in the Camp. During the day I will be performing the Water Ceremony, holding you in heart and attention. Night time: Fire Ceremony.

Day 3 - Earth Ceremony.

Begin the day with the Morning Water Blessing. Embracing and being embraced by Earth Mother. Time spent alone, in the Wild, crying in the arms of the Mother-of-Us-All. Crying will be done from my heart to yours to the Heart of the Earth Mother. Night time: Fire Ceremony

Day 4 - Air Ceremony

Begin the day with the Morning Water Blessing. Afternoon: Air Ceremony, calling the Eagle to come to you in Spirit., bringing the listed blessings your way. Sunset: Earth Ceremony. Night time: Fire Ceremony.

Day 5 - Re-Dedication of Life. Departure.

Begin the day, and every day henceforth, with the Morning Water Blessing. I will be  making offerings of gratitude to the Spirits of the Elements for their embrace and engagement of you during this  Ceremony of the Elements. Closure Circle, acknowledging your remote participation, aloud, in our Circle, thereby completeing the weaving of yrou presence in the ceremony we have all been doing.

• Fire: Up to three transgressions you are asking forgiveness of.
• Water: Up to three things you wish the Water to carry away from you.
• Earth: Acknowledge your choice to embrace and be embraced by our Earth Mother.
• Air: Up to three blessings you are desiring. Keep it simple and focused!
